A little about myself...
Here is a previous post from CLUBBULLY.COM, I have re-posted it here in order to save time:
ITS SOMTHING LIKE THE WISEMAN, REBEL, DETERMINED MAN STORY. LOL. I PLAN ON WRITING A CHAPTER OF MY OWN IN THAT BOOK. LETS CALL ME THE DOGG MAN, OR MADDOGG IS FINE BY ME. LOL. I NEVER PLANNED TO BREED OTHER PEOPLES DOGGS FOR LONG. WHEN I FIRST CAME ON THE SCENE A BUDDY OF MINE HAD AN ALVORADO DOGG WITH NO PAPERS NAMED "DEUCE". HE WAS TRYING TO MAKE MONEY BY BREEDING THIS EXCEPTIONAL DOGG TO UNREGISTERED DOGGS IN MY CITY THAT WERE WHITE OR PIEBALD IN COLOR. I TOLD THIS CAT HE WAS WASTING HIS TIME, AS THIS DOOD LEARNED EVERYTHING HE KNOWS ABOUT DOGGS AND PITBULLS ESPECIALLY FROM ME. I ALREADY KNEW ABOUT THE RAZORS EDGE BLOODLINE FROM THE INTERNET AND KNEW THAT THIS STYLE OF DOGG WOULD BLOW UP IN A FEW YEARS. I EVEN TOLD MY BUDDY THAT THE NAME OF THESE DOGGS WOULD CHANGE FROM A.P.B.T. SOON AFTER WE GOT STARTED. NE WAYS. MY BUDDY WAS A GOOD HUSTLER, BUT LACKED KNOWLEDGE AND WAS TOO STUBBORN TO MAKE THE RIGHT FRIENDS TO GAIN THE KNOWLEDGE HE NEEDED, I WAS NOT.
OUR ENDEVOR STARTED WHEN HE BOUGHT A RUNT OF A PUP THAT WAS PULLED FROM THE NIPPLE TOO SOON. THIS DOG WAS NAMED TYCOON AND HE WAS OFF SHORT SHOT X BLUE HAZE SHALOO. THIS DOGG WAS REALLY NICE BUT WAS NOT WHAT I WANTED TO START A KENNEL WITH AT ALL BECAUSE I KNEW HIS MOTHER WAS SUB STANDARD FOR WHAT WAS BEING PRODUCED AT THE TIME AND HAD NO INTENTION OF SPENDING YEARS TO FIX THE PROBLEMS THAT WOULD COME UP DUE TO HIS SHITTY DAM. I KNEW MY BUDDY HAD BEEN OVER-CHARGED FOR THE NAME ON HIS PEDIGREE AND COULDNT BELIEVE THAT MY BUDDY "THE HUSTLER" HAD LET HIMSELF BE SCAMMED BY THIS CAT, WE'LL CALL DOOD "FANNY" AT NAIVE PRIDE PITS. HELL I KNEW WHAT WAS UP WHEN MY BUDDY HAD TOLD ME HE FOUND FANNY AND HIS KENNEL IN THE BARGIN TRADER. MY FRIEND "BUDDY" HAD ALSO BOUGHT A FEMALE PUP FROM THIS INCONSISTANT LITTER BUT I FORGET HER NAME. ANYWAY MY BUDDY THE HUSTLER ENDED UP MEETING A CO-DEPENDANT YOUNG LADY FROM THE VIEJAS TRIBE OF NATIVE AMERICANS IN SAN DIEGO.THIS CHICK WAS PAID AND WAS WILLING TO BUY MY MAN WHAT EVER HE WANTED AS LONG AS HE STAYED WITH HER. I KNEW THIS WAS OUR CHANCE TO GET SOME REAL DOGGS TO START OUR KENNEL OFF AND RUNNING.
EVEN THO I HAD TAUGHT MY BUDDY EVERYTHING HE KNEW ABOUT DOGGS AND INTROUCED HIM TO PAPERED DOGGS HE TOOK EVERYTHING FANNY SAID AS THE WORD OF GOD. ME BEING THE TYPE OF PERSON I AM WITH THE BACKGROUND I HAVE I SAW RIGHT THROUGH THIS SHADY M.F.! HE DID THAT CRAPPY ASS SHORT SHOT X SHALOO BREEDING TO MAKE THE MONEY HE NEEDED TO GET REAL BREEDING STOCK AND WAS USING MY DOOD AND HIS GIRL TO DO IT. LITTLE DID HE KNOW I WAS THE BRAINS IN THE GROUP SO I SAID FUCK IT NEXT TIME YOU GO SEE THIS DOOD FANNY,TAKE ME WITH YOU. I SAW RIGHT AWAY THAT THIS CAT DIDNT KNOW MUCH ABOUT PITS OR DOGGS 4 THAT MATTER. I TESTED THIS CATS KNOWLEDGE IMMEDIATELY BY ASKING WHAT HE KNEW ABOUT GAME DOGGS. HIS REPLY WAS IF YOU WANT A GAME DOGG CHECK OUT THE RUFFIAN BLOODLINE. I KNEW THE RUFFIAN BLOOD AND KNEW THAT THIS ASSHOLE WAS POINTING ME TO AMSTAFFS AS RUFFIAN BLOOD HASNT BEEN GAME FOR MANY GENERATIONS, THAT WAS THE FIRST RED FLAG.
SO ANOTHER TIME WE WENT TO FANNYS HOUSE AND LOW AND BEHOLD I SEE A CAT THERE THAT WAS SELLING CERTIFIED BLACK SHAQ PUPS IN THE BARGIN TRADER I HAD MET A YEAR OR TWO BEFORE. THIS DOOD IS A HELL OF A SALESMAN AS ITS IN HIS ARMENIAN BLOOD. HE HAD A PUP THAT HE WAS SELLING AND WAS OFFERING TO US FOR A GRAND. IT TURNS OUT WE SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THIS PUP CUZ HE WOULD BE EVENTUALLY BE KNOWN AS NEO GOTTI. ANYWAYS WE DECLINED AND MY BUDDY BOUGHT TWO OTHER DOGGS FROM FANNY. THOR WHO WAS OFF OF WILLIAMS BULL AND A BITCH NAMED BLONDEY. MY BUDDY PAID A STEEP PRICE FOR THESE DOGGS AND DANNY WENT AND BOUGHT SOMEMORE GOOD DOGGS WIT MY PALS MONEY BY SELLING HIM THE SHIT HE DIDNT WANT TO KEEP. I HAD ALREADY MADE IT CLEAR THAT NO MORE PUPS SHOULD BE BOUGHT FROM FANNY. MY BUDDY AGREED.
NE WAYS IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO BUY MY FIRST R.E. DOGG AND DANNY, I MEAN FANNY HAD A LITTERMATE BROTHER TO THOR NAMED GUINESS. HE SOLD ME THAT DOGG FOR $1,200. HE WAS FAT AS HELL BUT HAD THE PERFECT HEAD, SO I COPPED HIM EVEN THO I HATED HIS OWNER. I WALKED THE FAT OFF GUINESS AND SAW WHAT I HAD AND WAS AMAZED. THIS SITUATION PUT THE FIRST THOUGTS OF JELOUSY ID EVER SEEN MY PARTNER HAVE TOWARDS ME. HE SAID THAT GUINESS SHOULD HAVE BEEN HIS AS HE LOOKED BETTER TO ME AND HIM AND HIS GIRL THAN THOR, AND I PAID 1200 INSTEAD OF THE 4 GRAND HE PAID FOR THOR.
I ENDED UP IN SOME TROUBLE AND HAD TO LEAVE CALI FOR GEORGIA. BEFORE I LEFT I SOLD GUINESS FOR $2,500 TO A CAT THAT HAD BOUGHT MANY PITS FROM ME. WHILE I WAS IN GEORGIA GUINESS GOT INTO IT WITH HIS BOXER CASH. GUNESS HAD ALMOST RIPPED OFF CASHES WHOLE LEG IN A FIGHT THEY GOT INTO. THIS DOOD KILLED GUINESS FOR THAT.
WHEN I CAME BACK FROM GA. I SAW FANNY HAD STEPPED HIS GAME UP INCREDIBLY AND FOUND OUT HE HAD A MENTOR IN THE R.E. BLOOD NOW AND ACCESS TO REAL R.E. PITS NOW. HIS MENTOR WAS MIKE FROM APCALYPSE. NE WAYS FANNY HAD GOTTEN AHOLD OF A DOG THAT I WANTED HELLA BAD. HER NAME WAS BLUE GYPSY. MY BUDDY HAD BOUGHT A PUP THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OFF OF THOR BUT WAS REALLY OFF THUGGSTOWN CHUCO x XENA. FANNY KNEW THAT CHUCO WAS THE SIRE BUT WANTED THE CREDIT FOR THE BREEDING. JOEL DIDNT APPRECIATE THIS. I SECRETLY CLICKD UP WITH JOEL AND A COOL FRIENDSHIP BEGAN. FANNY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DOING A BREEDING WITH BLUE GYPSY TO MANU BUT HE DIDNT HAVE THE MONEY CASSIDY WANTED. SO MY BUDDY PAID THE STUD FOR SECOND PICK IN THE LITTER. WELL THIS LITTER NEVER HAPPENED,I THINK FANNY PUT THE LOOT N HIS POCKET, AND MY BUDDY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SHIT OUTTA LUCK. WELL IM NOT TO FRIENDLY WITH PEOPLE WHO PLAY ME OR MY FRIENDS AND WAS ESPECIALLY PROTECTIVE OF MY BUDDY WHO WAS LIKE A BROTHER TO ME. I APPROACHED FANNY ONE DAY AND TOLD HIM TO PAY MY HOMIE HIS MONEY OR THERE WOULD BE CONSEQUENCES. HIS WIFE STEPPED IN AND SHES A COLD FEMALE THAT HANDLES THIS MANS BUISNESS BETTER THAN HIM. SHE SAID THEY DIDNT HAVE THE MONEY BUT THEY COULD GIVE UP A PUP OR SELL ONE AND IN A MONTH OR SO THEY COULD PAY THE LOOT BACK. I SAW MY CHANCE TO GET GYPSY AND SAID "LOOK HERES $1,200 CASH. TAKE IT, GIVE ME GYPSY SIGN OVER HER PAPERS AND FORGET THE DEBT". SHE AGREED QUICKLY AS IM SURE SHE KNEW THIS TIME FANNYS UNDERHANDEDNESS WOULD GET HIM FUCKED UP. HE SIGNED HER OVER AND I HAD THE FOUNDATION FOR HYPNOTIC KENNELS R.E. BLOOD. MY BUDDY HAD SPENT OVER $15,000 WITH FANNY. I SPENT ALL TOGETHER $2,400 AND HAD THE DAZZ X JEWELS BLOODS BEST PRODUCING BITCH, EVER.
2 BE CONTINUED.........
BEFORE I CONTINUE MY LITTLE STORY HERE I HAVE TO BACKTRACK A LITTLE BIT.
LIKE I SAID MY BUDDY BOUGHT A DOG FROM FANNY NAMED BLONDEY. SHE HAD BEEN BRED BY MY BUDDY WHO DIDNT REALLY UNDERSTAND HOW A BITCHES HEAT CYCLE WORKED OR AFFECTED MALE DOGGS. HE BRED HER TO THOR BUT WOULD LET ALL HIS DOGGS OUT TOGETHER TO PEE. WELL TYCOON SEIZED HIS OPPERTUNITY TO DO HIS THING AND THIS RESULTED IN A DUAL SIRED LITTER. THIS WAS BEFORE THE U.K.C. HAD OFFERED DNA SERVICES. BUT IT REALLY DIDNT MATTER BECAUSE ALL 9 (I THINK THAT WAS THE NUMBER) PUPS DIED OF PARVO EXCEPT 1 WHICH WAS GIVEN AWAY AND WAS NOT BULLY.
ANYWAYS THIS BITCH HAD COME INTO HEAT AGAIN WHEN I RETURNED FROM GEORGIA. THIS WAS A FEW MONTHS BEFORE I AQUIRED BLUE GYPSY FROM FANNY. HE NEEDED A STUD TO GO TO BUT ONLY AFFILIATED WITH FANNY SO HIS FIRST OPTION WAS A DOGG NAMED BRUCE BRUCE. I HAD PUT MY BUDDY UP ON A LINE OF DOGGS THAT WERE BECOMING EXTREMLY POPULAR IN SOUTHERN CALIFORIA AT THE TIME. THIS WAS THE GOTTILINE. I KNEW ROGER HAD A DOGG NAMED BLACK ACE AND THIS DOGG WAS OFF THE HOOK AS ANY DOGG ID EVER SEEN. BACK THEN I DIDNT KNOW ED OR THAT HE WAS WHO ROGER HAD GOTTEN ACE FROM. SO I SAID USE ACE. WE CONSIDERED THE IDEA BUT SOMTHING TOLD ME TO CHECK INTO THE SOURCE OF THE LINE DIRECTLY. I ENDED UP ON A WEBSITE OWNED BY WESTSIDE KENNELS. THERE I FOUND THE DOGG I WAS HEARING SO MUCH ABOUT, THE NOTORIOUS JUAN GOTTI. THERE WAS ANOTHER DOGG OWNED BY W.S.K., THIS DOGG LOOKED TO BE A PERFECT STUD FOR BLONDEY. HIS NAME WAS W.S. MONSTER JOJOLA. I NEVER HEARD OF GREYLINE AT THIS TIME AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED BY MONSTER AND GOTTI. I SHOWED MY BUDDY PICS OF MONSTER AND HE WAS IN LOVE. THE PROBLEM WAS MY BUDDY DIDNT KNOW HOW TO APPROACH AQUIRING THIS DOG AS A STUD. I KNEW HED PAY WHATEVER AMOUNT WAS ASKED FOR THE FEE CUZ HE WASNT SPENDING HIS MONEY ANYWAY. HIS GIRLFRIEND AS I SAID WAS PAID AND GOT $8,000 A MONTH FOR BREATHING AIR. BESIDES THE RENT ON THE HOUSE THEY MOVED TO IN HEMET, HER CAR NOTE AND THEIR EXPENSIVE CHRONIC HABIT THE REST OF THAT MONEY WAS EXTRA.
HE HAD BOUGHT A DOG FROM AARON MUGELSTON THAT WAS BULLSHIT BUT A FIRE CRACKER 4 A BLUE PIT. IN ORDER TO MAKE ROOM FOR ALL THESE NEW DOGGS LET ME TELL U WHAT THIS FOOL DID........
HE HAD THE TWO DOGGS OFF SHORT SHOT X SHALOO HE FIRST BOUGHT FROM FANNY. NOW I CAN REMEMBER THE FEMALES NAME, IT WAS BRIN-DEL. ANYWAYS HE KNEW THESE DOGGS COULD NEVER COMPETE WITH BLONDEY OR THOR SO ONE DAY HE DROVE TO AN UNDEVELOPED AREA NEAR HIS HOME. IF UR FARMILIAR WITH HEMET YOU KNOW THERES ALOT OF UNDEVELOPED AREAS AROUND THERE AS THE CITY IS REALLY JUST BECOMING AN URBANIZED AREA DUE TO CHEAP HOUSING. ANYWAY HE DROVE DOWN A ROAD THAT LED TO AN OPEN FIELD AND JUST THREW THE DOGGS OUT AND LEFT THEM IN THAT FIELD. HE DIDNT TAKE ME ON THIS TRIP CUZ HE KNOWS I DONT GET DOWN LIKE THAT. I SAID GIVE THEM AWAY, HE SAID HE PAID FOR THOSE DOGGS AND IF HE WASNT GONNA PROFIT OFF THEM NO ONE WOULD HAVE THEM. HE RIPPED UP THEIR PAPERS AND THAT WAS THE END OF TYCOON AND BRIN-DEL.
SO ANYWAYS A FEW DAYS LATER I CONVINCED HIM TO CALL RICHARD BARAJAS AT W.S.K.
HE DIDNT WANT TO CALL HIM CUZ HE WAS MEXICAN AND FROM L.A., AS EVERYONE KNOWS S.D. AND L.A. ARE THE TWO BIGGEST CITIES IN SO. CALIFORIA AND OUR GANGS DISLIKE EACH OTHERS REGIONS. I WAS PISSED THAT MY BUDDY THE HUSTLER WOULD LET SOME SHIT LIKE THAT STOP HIM FROM DOING WHAT WAS NECISSARY TO GET TO THE STUD HE WANTED. HE SAID WHAT IF DOOD IS ON SOME L.A. vs. DAYGO SHIT. I SAID HELL, THAT MAN RUNS A BUISNESS, AS LONG AS YOU CAN PAY THE FEE IM SURE DOOD WILL BE CORGILE. AT THIS TIME WE DIDNT KNOW RICH OR THAT HIS FEE WAS ONLY $1,000 TO USE HIS DOGGS. SO MY BUDDY CALLED AND WHEN HE FOUND OUT THE TAG, SET UP THE BREEDING.................
DURING THIS TIME ME AND MY BUDDY HAD AGREED THAT NO MORE MONEY WOULD BE SPENT ON PUPS FROM NAIVE PRIDE PITS ANYMORE BUT WHILE I WAS AWAY IN GEORGIA BUDDY AND FANNY HAD GOTTEN CLOSER. AS WE ALL KNOW SOME BUYERS WILL SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND HOURS ON THE PHONE WHEN DISCUSSING THE PURCHASE OF THESE DOGGS. FANNY HAD SOLD THE PUP THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OFF OF THOR BUT WAS REALLY SIRED BY CHUCO TO BUDDY WHILE I WAS GONE. HE ALSO HAD A PUP FROM FANNY THAT WAS OFF OF MANU AND HIS BITCH TOPAZ. MY BUDDY HAD GIVEN HIM $1,000 UPFRONT AND FANNY WANTED ANOTHER $1,500 IN A WEEKS TIME. WELL BUDDY DIDNT HAVE THE MONEY IN A WEEK AND FANNY WANTED HIS PUP BACK, AROUND THIS SAME TIME HE FESSED UP AND SAID CHUCO MIGHT BE THE SIRE OF THE OTHER PUP MY BUDDY SPENT $3,000 ON BUT HE WASNT SURE. MY BUDDY ACCEPTED ALL THIS AND TOOK THIS FAGGOT HIS MANU X TOPAZ PUP BACK. ANY REAL DOGG MAN WOULD HAVE LET HIM KEEP THAT PUP AND TAKEN THE CHUCO X ZEINA PUP BACK AND GAVE HIM HIS $1,500 BACK AT LEAST. BUT FANNY WAS A GREEDY ASSHOLE AND BUDDY AND HIS GIRL WERE HIS CASH COW. LOOK AT WHAT THIS ASSHOLE HAD ON HIS ABOUT US SECTION ON HIS WEBSITE:
Hi, my name is Danny and I live in San Diego, California. I am a Kumeyaay Indian and have always been around pits my whole life. My dad was just as obsessed with the breed as I am today. He bred Castillo’s Red Noses throughout my childhood.
I started off buying my first Red Nose. She was a Castillo and I bred her a few times to save up money for a blue. I finally got my first blue who ended up looking like wily coyote, but I did the best I could with her. I threw her to Shortshot as my first blue breeding.
I sold her and all the pups to get my next female, Blondie. She was a blue-fawn off of Gotti and Gaff Blood. I tried to bred her with Ace, but she never took so I sold her to a buddy.
Next I got my wife’s favorite,Topaz. She is off of Armani and Sasha. I bred her to Manu for my second blue breeding. The results made Portica and Damage. Damage is housed with my cousin, Philip.
Along the way I also picked up two males off the last breeding of Bull. I kept one for a while, named Thor. I also picked up a female, named Zeina. Zeina is Bull’s litter-mate sister. We bred Zeina to Thor and that was one of the best breedings I have yet to see.
Then I was lucky enough to get my prize possession, Bruce Bruce. We threw Bruce and Zeina together and made more amazing pups. I let Mike at Apocalypse have first pick at the males. Also, giving the first pick female to Roger at West Coast Gottiline.
Now I am about to throw Topaz to Lil’ Ro or something else, just as great. I also swapped Zeina with Mike for Matty who has just been bred to Viper.
So this is the direction that I am heading. I only do the best that I can do. Everything has a purpose and is well planned out. I try to keep the lineage open for other breeders to be able to keep breeding without health problems. I do it all with a good heart. This is what makes Native Pride Pits.
EVERY DOGG HE NAMED WAS BOUGHT WITH MY BUDDY "THE HUSTLERS" GIRLFRIENDS MONEY. MAYBE HE HAD ANOTHER SUCKER OR TWO IN DARK SOME WHERE BUT ALL IN ALL AT LEAST 15 GEES PROBABLY MORE CAME FROM THEM. MY BUDDY SPENT $800 ON A 4TH PICK PUP FROM THAT BRUCE x XENA LITTER AND GAVE IT TO ME. I SOLD HIM FOR $2,500. $1,200 OF WHICH I USED TO GET BLUE GYPSY FROM FANNY. NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT MAYBE IM THE HUSTLER AND MY BUDDY WAS THE SUCKER. LOL
2 BE CONTINUED.........
ME AND BUDDY TOOK A TRIP TO SOUTH CENTRAL, LOS ANGELES TO VISIT RICHARD BARAJAS AT W.S.K. IF YOU'VE EVER BEEN TO RICHES HOUSE THERE IT IS A SMALL HOUSE IN A "SEMI" RUFF NEIGHBORHOOD (I'VE SEEN WORSE, I.E. NEWARK, NJ) AND YOU'D NEVER EXPECT TO FIND SUCH FAMOUSLY POPULAR ANIMALS THERE. WE PULLED UP AND CALLED RICH WHO SAID HE WASNT AT HIS HOUSE YET BUT HE'D BE THERE IN A HALF HOUR. SO WE SAT IN THE WHITE 97' CHEVY SUBURBAN ON 24" RIMS AND WAITED ON RICH. IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD I WAS VERY WEARY AS I WAS VERY GANG AFFILIATED AT THIS TIME. I WASNT FROM L.A. BUT I KNEW THE RULES. WE WERENT FROM THAT NEIGHBORHOOD AND IT WAS OBVIOUS. IN MOST GANG AREAS YOU CANT JUST COME AND WAIT FOR SOMEONE REGARDLESS OF WHAT BUISNESS YOU HAVE WITH THEM AND EXPECT TO BE LEFT ALONE.
AFTER THE LONG RIDE TO RICHES WE HAD TO LET BLONDEY OUT TO PEE. THIS WASNT A PROBLEM BECAUSE ME AND BUDDY WERE READY IF ANYTHING WERE TO JUMP. IF YOU STAY READY YOU DONT HAVE TO GET READY IF U KNOW WHAT I MEAN. I THINK WHEN CATS SAW THE BLUE FAWN BITCH IN OUR POSSESSION THEY EASED UP A LITTLE BECAUSE RICH AND HIS DOGGS ARE KNOWN IN THAT AREA AND IN L.A. PERIOD AND THEY FIGURED WE WERE ONE OF THE MANY CATS THAT WOULD COME AND BREED TO RICHES DOGGS. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR RICH FINALLY SHOWED UP. HE HAD AN OLDER LEXUS AT THE TIME BUT HE RODE THAT SHIT LIKE IT WAS BRAND NEW. THATS WHAT I LIKE ABOUT RICH, THE MAN DEFINATELY HAS STYLE. ANYWAYS. HE INVITED US INTO THE LITTLE HOUSE AND WAS VERY FRIENDLY. HE HIT ME WITH HIS FAMOUS PHRASE EVERYBODY USES TODAY "WASSUP BIGG DOGG". WETHER U WANT TO ADMIT IT OR NOT THE POPULARITY OF THE PHRASE "BIGG DOGG" STARTED WITH RICHARD BARAJAS.
I WAS VERY TALKITIVE WHEN MEETING RICH AND HE WAS HELLA TALKITIVE BACK. THATS ANOTHER THING I LIKE ABOUT RICH, HE LIKES TO TALK, AND I LIKE TO LISTEN WHEN ITS BENIFICIAL SO I TRIED TO SOAK IN EVERYTHING HE WAS SAYING. HIS FIRST QUESTION TO MY BUDDY WAS "YOU GOT THE MONEY?". MY HOMIE PAID HIM AND ALMOST WITHOUT EFFORT HE STARTED COUNTING THE BREAD. I SAW A SKINNY LITTLE MEXICAN DOOD STANDING NEAR RICH WATCHING EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOING ON SO I INTRODUCED MYSELF. SHIT FOR ALL I KNOW THIS SKINNY KID COULD HAVE AN UZI IN HIS PANTS AND MAKE SOMTHING SERIOUS HAPPEN SO I KEPT MY EYE ON HIM. IN MY CITY ITS THE SKINNY LITTLE DOOD U BETTER KEEP AN EYE ON. AFTER I INTRODUCED MYSELF HE SAID HIS NAME WAS ANDREW. AFTER A FEW MINUETES I COULD TELL THAT THIS KID WASNT A THREAT AND WAS BASICALLY ONE OF RICHES PROTOGE'S. RICH HAD PUPPIES AND CRATES THROUGHOUT HIS HOUSE. IN ONE OF THE CRATES WAS "OSITA". WHEN I SAW THAT DOGG I WAS LIKE DAMN, WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT? HE WAS LIKE THATS OSITA SHES BULLY AS HELL HUH? THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THE WORD "BULLY" USED TO DESCRIBE A DOGG BUT IT FIT PERFECTLY. I SAID "HELL YEAH SHES NICE", AND PROCEEDED TO HIS BACKYARD.
RICH HAD SENT ANDREW TO GET MONSTER FROM HIS KENNEL (WHICH IS HOW I KNEW HE WASNT A THREAT) AND I WAS AMAZED. MY BUDDY WAS SCARED OF MONSTER SO HE STAYED IN THE HOUSE AND WATCHED FROM THE BACKDOOR, IT WAS CLOSED OF COURSE. I THINK RICH WAS IMPRESSED BY THE FACT THAT MONSTER DIDNT SCARE ME, CUZ AT THAT TIME (I DIDNT KNOW IT YET) HE WAS KNOWN FOR BITING M.F.s, RICH HAD ME PUT BLONDEY ON HIS BREEDING STAND AND SECURE HER. THEN HE SAID WATCH OUT FOR MONSTERS HEAD. I KNEW THIS MENT IF I WASNT CAREFUL THIS BIG CRAZY LOOKING MOTHER FUCKER WOULD TAG MY ASS. I KEPT MY COOL AND DID AS RICH SAID AND WATCHED OUT FOR HIS HEAD. AFTER MONSTERS WORK WAS DONE I PHOTOGRAPHED THE TIE. AND WE HAD A BEER. WHILE ANDREW TOOK MONSTER BACK TO HIS KENNEL I SAW THAT THIS DOGG WAS TRIPPING AND STEPPING OVER HIS OWN DICK. LOL. THAT WAS CRAZY TO ME.
I ALSO TOOK A PICTURE WITH RICH, BUDDY AND JUAN GOTTI. I HAVE THIS PIC SOMEWHERE IN CALI. PROBABLY AT ONE OF MY KIDS MOTHERS HOUSES. I PUT THAT PIC ONLINE FOR THE WORLD TO SEE. AS FAR AS I KNOW WE WERE THE FIRST KENNEL TO TAKE A PIC WITH RICH AND GOTTI AND PUT IT ONLINE. RICH WAS STILL A LITTLE HUMBLE AT THIS TIME BUT I COULD TELL HE LIKED THE ATTENTION THAT HIS DOGGS BROUGHT THEMSELVES AS WELL AS HIM. WHILE WE WERE IN THAT BACKYARD I GOT MY FIRST GLIMPSE OF BOOGIE, BOLA, SCHELLA, DIAMOND AND THE REST OF HIS DOGGS HE KEPT THERE. BOLA LOOKED LIKE A RIPPED UP MUSCLED OUT PONY. I LOVED THE LOOK, AND TRIPPED OUT FOR THE LONGEST ON THAT BITCH. RICH COULD TELL I'D NEVER SEEN A DOGG LIKE HER BEFORE. BUT HE ALSO DIDNT KNOW THAT IN MY MIND AND KNOWING TRADITIONAL A.P.B.Ts AS I DID, I KNEW SOMTHING WAS VERY WRONG. I DIDNT SAY NOTHING TO HIM ABOUT IT BUT I KNEW THE FIRST TIME I SAW BOOGIE AND THE OTHERS THAT THERE WAS A BULLDOGG IN THE MIX SOMEWHERE, AS I UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS OF CROSSING, INBREEDING AND LINE BREEDING TO SET CERTIN TRAITS IN AN ANIMAL.
AFTER THE BREEDING WE WERE INVITED BACK INTO THE HOUSE AS I SAID TO DRINK SOME BEER. BUDDY PUT BLONDEY BACK IN THE BURBAN AND ME AND RICH GOT TO TALKING. HE GAVE ME AND BUDDY A COPY OF HIS DVD "WESTSIDE STORY" AND IF WE WERE GOING TO TEXAS FOR THE THIRD COAST BULLY CONVENTION. I TOLD HIM I NEVER HEARD OF IT. HE SAID THROW IN WITH US TO GET THERE AND YOU AND BUDY CAN COME WITH US. I KNEW THIS WAS A VALUABLE OPPORTUNITY AS DID BUDDY WHO DURING THIS WHOLE TIME HAD NOT SAID MUCH TO ANYONE INCLUDING ME AT ALL. WE AGREED TO GO AND TOLD RICH TO TELL US WHEN. HE SAID CALL ME IN A WEEK AND ILL GIVE U THE DETAILS, AND THEN WE LEFT.
A WEEK AND A HALF LATER WE'D BE IN A PACKED R.V. WITH ABOUT 12 STANK ASS CRATES SMELLING LIKE DOGG BREATH AND BALLS. IN THE DAYS TO COME I'D MEET THE LEGENDS AS WELL AS THE FUTURE OF THE BULLY BREED, INCLUDING ED SHEPPERD, DONALD (O.T.G. AND CREATOR OF BULLYS MAGAZINE), ERIC & TRACEY (S.T.A.), EDDIE LOMELLI, AND MOST MEMORABLY DAVE WILSON. ITS ON THIS TRIP THAT I SAW WHAT THIS BREED WAS BECOMING AND HOW POPULAR IT WOULD BE. I MADE SURE THAT ANYONE IMPORTANT SAW MY FACE AND THAT I INTRODUCED MYSELF. I KNEW THAT THIS GAME JUST AS ANY OTHER WASNT BASED ON WHAT U KNOW BUT WHO U KNOW. I MADE CONNECTIONS AT THAT SHOW THAT ARE BENIFICIAL TO ME AS WELL AS THEM TO THIS DAY. ON THIS TRIP I HELPED LAY THE FOUNDATION FOR WHAT WOULD LATER BE KNOWN AS THE GOTTILINE CREW. BUT THIS IS ANOTHER CHAPTER OF THIS STORY AND MY HANDS ARE CRAMPING SO IT'LL HAVE TO BE TOLD ANOTHER TIME.

The "Art" of Paper Hanging......
I would like to see all of the top studs in the country DNA-P'd so we as bully fanciers could actually keep track of whats happening genetically with these dogs. I know for a fact that many, many, many people who think certain famous stud dogs are the sires of the pup/prospect they bought are sadly mistaken. Even more people are unaware that other breeds were crossed into certain strains within the most popular bully bloodlines.
Now some people would say, "so what, if you really love these dogs you'll accept whatever had to happen to make them what they are today". I used to agree. But as I've grown older and wiser and spoken to many a fellow dog man a very valid point kept coming up and quite often. As my buddy Jay at RockCityBullies put it, "Why not ask questions? How else are we going to know whats really back there when it comes to our PEDIGREE dogs?". Well Jay is right and unfortunately the reality is that thousands upon thousands of pups papers have been and will continue to be hung in the name of $.
Some people might ask, "Well how do you HANG papers?". Every breeder from the byb to the commercial mill to the professional breeder will learn about this issue if they deal with PEDIGREE dogs. It is really quite simple.... and it happens everyday! I've seen the worst in the bully breed because of the type of person generally attracted to this breed. I can recall when my good friend Roger at WestCoastGottiline had a problem with some gangbanger/breeders jumping a fence and stealing a dog and when his girlfriend tried to stop them, they threw the dog over a fence and then they took her phone so she couldn't call the police. I know for a fact that this shook him up pretty good as it would have done anyone, especially since he wasn't even home at the time.
My point is because of the popularity and demand for the bully style of dog by many different ethnic types and social classes we have no clear standard when it comes to the American Bully breed. Because there is no specific standard the blood and heritage of an animal should be of the utmost importance shouldn't it? Well again due to the AmBullys popularity many corners are cut and many short cuts are taken to make as much money as possible. If that means throwing a pup or two from a less popular litter into the mix, so be it. This is the thought process of many of the most well known breeders.
How do they get away with it? The same way they got away with crossing other breeds into the pitbull in the first place. It's all one giant rediculous loop-hole. I personally believe that the UKC should have required DNP-P for all AmStaff and PitBulls registered with their registry years ago. I suppose that would mess up their money so they really have no reason to enforce or instate such a rule. Especially since certin people within the bully community continue to promote the AmBully as just a styleized version of the traditional American Pit Bull Terrier and not it's own seperate breed, which I personally believe it is a "type" well on its way to solidifying itself as a seperate breed.
The addition of other breeds almost certainly would make these dogs no longer a member of the American Pit Bull breed and would only qualify many American Bullies to be of the Pitbull type.
Still I love these dogs and even though I know whats going on behind the scenes I will love and defend them. I would like to see the DNA-P certification become mandatory though. Maybe before 2000 or something would not be required.. but after 2000 most certainly should be. I don't blame anyone who purchased a dog who may have questionable heiritage but I do blame the person responsible. That's the burden placed upon the shoulders of pedigree breeders. To prove paternity and stand by their kennels productions. If you buy you pup in the hood, don't be surprised when some funny type situation pops up concerning you pup or it's pedigree. This isn't universal as there are dirty bastards in all wrungs of the AmBully ladder from the bottom of the food chain to the top. My advice to you is to study the habits and reputation of the breeder you are dealing with above and beyond your infatuation with a certin dog or bloodline. It has been my experience that good breeders usually produce good dogs consistantly and have good reputations in the bully community but above those traits, they will and do gladly DNA-P their dogs because they are not fly by night band wagon breeders and are in it for the long haul.
Do yourself a favor and DNA-P your stock if you are a breeder... to me this certification is MORE important than the registration papers because it PROVES that the paperwork you paid anywhere to $1,000 - $20,000 and even higher for is authentic! Otherwise you could have a dog you think is off of "Insert Popular Stud Name Here" but is really off of one of his sons or daughters or even further back in relation if there's any at all, yet you paid $3,000. Get it?
Learn the hustle and "Hang" the hustler... Or get hustled and hang with hustlers.. its up to you.

DAVE WILSONS take on Razors Edge
Razors Edge was started in MD and DC by Dave Wilson and Carlos Barksdale. They started out with game dogs. They researched everything they could find and read every book publicized at that time. The also subscribed to many dog magazines like the ADBA Gazette, even some underground ones. They called nearly every breeder that they could find and questioned them, If it said Pit, they were on it. They already owned some unpapered BYB Pits. They even had there own Pit club and went hiking and other things back in the woods. Eventually they got enough money to get some real papered, good bloodline, game dogs. They purchased some of the best around at the time. Even paid $3500 way back then for a Grandson of the great "Plumbers Alligator", mainly Mayfield lines. Dave and Carlos were very heavy into the game lines and had dogs from Hemphill to Wilder blood. These were big game dogs. Later on they hooked up with George Williams in DC and purchased a dog they named Diablo, from Wildside Kennels. Diablo's dad was a bigger catch dog, "Hollinsworth Bull". His mom was a game girl names "Wildsides Ms.Leaky". This was the turn around time when Razors Edge started adding more size. The first ever registered "ADBA" Razors Edge breeding was from his Mayfield boy Zeus to a Mayfield girl name Jinx. Jinx was actually given to friend back then named Curt Plater, now CLP Kennels. He owned the first ever Razors Edge dog. They would lose contact after this for many years before hooking up again. They banned Pits in PG County and Dave was forced to move. Eventually through Dave’s job in the Pet Store industry he landed a mangers job at a Pet Store in VA. He had to move to VA and still resides there as Razors Edge Kennel. Dave managed a Pet Store, worked as a professional dog trainer, and still bred bigger ADBA game dogs. Basically, he bred his own pits now. He also put fliers in the Washington Post explaining what the breed was and what Razors Edge was. Dave met a guy name Ron Smith who came aboard and took Razors Edge to another level. Dave saw this blue dog named "Steel Town Blue Monday" and was hooked! Ron already knew every UKC and AKC breeder under the sun. He had been researching on his own for years. So this man had all the pictures, info, etc…. He had fliers and pictures from every AKC and UKC breeder from Coast to coast. He literally had pictures of almost all the dogs in all these pedigrees. That man really was the "Pit Guru". He first contacted Cock 'n' Bull Kennels, the ones that produced Monday. They turned them onto people in Cali with that blood. Candace Eggart was one. Candy sent pictures of what she had and what she had going on. Just to give you a time frame, She sold a dog years later to Tony Moore named Showtime! Showtime went on to be one of the foundation bitches in the Greyline bloodline! So this was years before Greyline was even around. They went to every breeder on the East Coast. Up north to Bobby Morehouse, Beth Jones, a friend of his Lee Fitzgerald, Flying A's, Minot's Ledge, etc. they actually purchased a blue brindle female named "Sadey" from Minot's Ledge. This litter was had an extraordinary pedigree. The top half were mainly Flying A's dogs like "Oreo" and "Reo Speedwagon". Dogs he had seen and liked. You could see in the extended pedigree how these dogs stemmed from Ruffian dogs. Then you could see how it went back even further from the AKC Ruffian dog to the UKC Colby dogs. This top half of the pedigree actually showed how Pits eventually were registered as Staffs! Dave thought that was cool to see on paper and in a dog he owned. Then the bottom half of the ped went right back to Stratton dogs. Dogs like Going light Barney, dogs he grew up reading about! Thanks to Richard Stratton, Then behind them were the same Colby dogs he saw on the top half of the pedigree. So he had this dog that showed the history of the Am. Staff and the directions the Colby line went in the UKC. he also purchased a male named "Razors Edge Blue Maxx". His top half was a dog named "StoryTime's Upon this Rock" AKA "Peter" Peter was a dog bred by Beth Jones. He was a big dog, but kinda ugly. They bred him to "Wassuc's Farm Maggie May". Dave really liked this compact girl. He researched her lines and found she was Ryan. When they got to see the Ryan dogs they were surprised to see they were game dogs. They were AKC registered Staffs, but they still bred for game dogs! This was something Dave had never seen, I'm sure that's why the AKC people didn't like that line, . However; Dave loved it! Bully, game, blue, staffs! Now that's what I am talking about! Maxx was there boy from this blood. Now Razors Edge was big ADBA game dogs, one UKC Blue Brindle girl, and a Big hot Blue Fawn AKC boy. In Va there was Sharon Stone of Cloverhill, who had the biggest Staffs Dave had ever seen! Her old stuff was huge! Too tall for what he was looking for, but huge! They changed years later and went more showy. Paco, was in Dave’s opinion actually a throw back of her older days. Ginny York, Pam Perdue, GiGi, the Garretts, etc….they visited them all. Even went down to Florida and checked out Marsha Woods. Met KC Courtier of Watchdog Kennels. Eventually, went up to Md and met Kimmar Kennels. As soon as Dave stepped on the ranch, he knew he had found the build he was looking for! The Razors Edge package was almost complete. Razors Edge also had been advertising in the Washington Post for many years. Some young dudes from DC used to come down and hang out and bring their dogs. Edwin Salinas and Joey Nevils were two of them. These guys had been buying dogs from Kimmar and mixing their own stuff in them too. Kimmar used to have an ad in the post under the Pit Bull ads, it said "Petey pups". They didn't want their dogs to be labeled as Pits; but they advertised directly under Pits? Hmmmmmm? Not as Staff? Anyway, local people knew the deal and picked up a lot of her dogs. Joey, Edwin, Joey's pops, and their boys had a bunch of these dogs. Even some old friends of Dave’s Jerry and Gerrold had yards with these dogs. They all had game stuff in the mix. dave tapped into a lot of their dogs as well. In Kimmar's yard he learned a lot about breeding and genetics. Dave spent every weekend there for almost three years, and actually put on a training class for all her buyers every Sunday. Razors Edge had been breeding now for a few generations and even used a lot of her dogs from other people in the mix. Ron, also had some York dogs, and some other AKC stuff, they experimented with. Before they got Knuckles or any of them, Razors Edge was already in the game. Kimmar actually used there dog Maxx for some breedings. Eventually we purchased around 15 dogs from her line, including Knuckles and Rage. While these pups were growing, Razors Edge already had it's formula. They just wanted a different head. They were not given papers on some of these dogs and they had to be UKC registered instead! This is where Razors Edge became heavily involved in UKC. Dave started searching for a better head and came into some Watchdog stuff. KC was not breeding anymore, so he had to find that blood somewhere else. he bought dogs from Grapevine Kennels, and also hit up Hughzee's, who he believe later on became Chaos Kennels. They had been talking to Pam from Gaff Kennels for a few years, and really liked a boy name Seiko! So they got a dog from her. So Dave experimented with a lot of lines and different dogs. Razors Edge started having a real consistent look. The heads were big, but they still wanted them to be a little blockier. A few generations later it was pretty much there. So by taking combinations of dogs and bloodlines Dave eventually got to the style of pitbull he wanted, now called "Bully Style" of Pitbulls, Meaning large in size, such as a large head, wide chest, short blocky muzzles, large, but not over done bone, and a shorter back, but at the same time correct as the United Kennel Club and American Kennel Club judge by. Razors Edge purchased a pup from the breeding of Kimmars Catt Man Roo and Pam’s White Path China Black. These two dogs produce a few dogs in the litter that helped to promote the Razors Edge line, dogs such as: GR CH Razors Edge Throwin Knuckles, CH Razors Edge Inna Rage, and Razors Edge Sapphire Lil.
Another breeding that produced one of the most famous Bitches in the history of Razors Edge was between Ch. Jackson’s GMJ Mr. Brooks and Razors Edge SilverSadey of ML which produced GR. CH. Razors Edge Sadey’s Paddington and also Kim's Blue Dakota.
Dave used Ch. CloverHill’s Watuka Spirit AKA Paco and bred him to Paddington, which produced the legendary CH. Razors Edge Purple Rose of Cairo, the most famous dog of all the Razors Edge dogs today in my opinion. Razors Edge Kenna Claddaugh, Razors Edge Top Notch Chino, Razors Edge Chi Chi of Trueblue, Tonka and Jigga and Iced Mocha are also productions from this breeding.
When the time was right the grand champion knuckles was bred to Paddington, which produced another female, named Viagra. Viagra was bred to the legend Cairo and produced one of my favorite males Razors Edge V’s Lil Ro, AKA "RO". They also produced Cai, Diva, Caira and a few more. RO lives his own legacy today in producing some beautiful dogs such as suarez bulls paco and genuine Edge's Toxic, and Titan Kennels Titan, just to name a few of my favorite males out of him. A friend of mine at Bully Loaded Kennels also has a son, Quake, and daughter, Faith, off of him that will be very nice when there older. Cairo was also bred to a few other females but I won’t name them all just ones that come to mind, some of the important ones in my eyes, such as the Cairo and Koi Breeding. Koi who is out of GR CH Knuckles and Dakota (Paddingtons sister), was bred to Cairo and produced Rage, Neela, Brooklyn, Shamrock, Rolli, Rosetta, and Diamond. Cairo was also bred to tiki and produced a male by the name of Hennessy. Cairo was also bred to my friends dog trixie of blackout kennels in VA and produced his male Gooda, Bo at Bow Wow Kennels,Denile at Razors Edge Kennel, one of my personal favorite females of Razors Edge bloodline and two others that go by Bosko and Bun. The cairo side of razorsedge is just a fraction of the bloodline. The line has been taking in different directions but everythang basically stems from the knuckles, paddington, and rage blood.
Dave Wilson and R.E. All Eyez On Me
Another well known producing dog is Razors Edge CLP's Short Shot, Short Shot is off of Buckshot and Rage, and is also a grandson to Knuckles on Buckshots side and Rage is Knuckles sister. Shortshot has done a few breedings is his life, such as Diamond, and more recently Paradise and Steel. there is also sections of the blood that are almost like a line in its own depending on what your looking for, you got the Cairo side, the shortshot side, the you got manu side, dozer daisy line breedings, which all of this basically ties into each and every dog produced from razorsedge yard in the very beginning! You just have to connect them all together. It's the facts of producing outstanding dogs from the start and putting time and effort and lots of money into building a dream. Razors Edge Kennel has been involved in learning, breeding, showing, training and raising the American Pitbull Terrier for well over 15 years and it keeps getting better! Razorsedge will not die! It will live on through Dave’s kids, friends, and mainly in his dogs! Razors Edge is a bloodline for everyone, it offers show quality dogs, bully correct dogs, bully dogs, and overdone dogs, overdone meaning extreme bone, head, and chest, at the same time very nice dogs, but dogs that would not be able to win in the show ring. So if you want a real pitbull where there females outdo other kennels males go to Razors Edge Kennel and they can point you in the right direction!
!!!!21 Blackjack VS. Black Ace!!!!
21 Blackjack on the left, Black Ace on the right
Im going to start this one with a letter typed by the man who bought these two dogs in the beginning....
Man, you guys are a bunch of crazy @#$#$&*. I am sitting here laughing so hard. This is so funny. I hope one of you doesn't jump off a bridge. We'll have mass suicide. One guy says that Blackjack's grand mother is half bulldog and then some of you start the rumor that Blackjack is half bulldog. Soon someone will say he is pure bulldog. Now that I have said that, I am expecting someone to ask, ' is that true? Is Blackjack pure bulldog? And a another to answer, 'YES it's true.' If the RUMOR was true that Blackjack's grandmother was half bulldog, that would make blackjack 1/8 bulldog. Let me repeat that word again. RUMOR. When I originally bought Blackjack from Cruz of BOWWOW PITS Cruz said to me, ' you'll know you have a good dog when people start bad mouthing him.' An hour later at the vets a fellow pit owner said to me, 'he's too short' I replied, 'thank you'. I'm sure a lot of you would like to say things like he's too thick, he's too big, he has too much bone, his head is to big. Let me just say, thank you.So let's get to the point. Is Gottyline's 21 Blackjack part bulldog? The real answer is, I don't know and no one on this board knows either. The only one who knows is the guy who bred Mota. Everyone else is just spreding RUMORS. I have seen Mota in person 3 times. She is white with a black nose. She is rather short and thick, but I have seen many pits shorter and thicker. Her head is nice and big, but I have seen blockier heads. She looks 100% pitbull to me. So I don't see how she could be half bulldog. I have seen 1/2 bulldogs before and you can't miss the bulldog in them. a close friend of mine bought a Razor Edge dog and I guarantee he is half bulldog. Corkscrew tail and all. He got rid of him. Now I am not knocking Razor Edge dogs, just reporting the facts. Also the dog was not bred by Dave Wilson. I also think Mota is the best producing bitch in the USA and I would pay a lot of money for her if given the opportunity. Now let me address the pedigree issue. When I bought Blackjack from Cruz he told me that Mota didn't have papers so the boys in LA used BOO BOO's papers. I have never kept this a secrete. So I knew about the paper hanging, but went ahead and bought Blackjack anyway. I thought and still do that he is the best pitbull I ever saw. He is my dream dog. He may not be yours, but he is mine. I can't help that some of the bys in LA have no integrity. All I can do is be honest myself. Regarding the Caliblue Doja vs. felony issue. The guy at Calibue got felony's papers and is using them for his bitch Doja. When I bought Blackjack, the papers said Felony and now they say Doja. This is a lesson for all of us. This stuff will come around and bite you in the buttski. It is a shame that so may people in pitbulls can't bring themseves to be honest. This is one reason the American Pit Bull has such a negative reputation. Let me say in conclusion, if the RUMORS you hear today and the new ones you will hear tommorow bother you, then don't breed to Blackjack. As for Gottyline pits, my son and I will continue to breed what we feel are the best American pit bulls in the USA. Thanks to all of you who ignore the RUMOR and continue to support GOTTYLINE PITS. God bless you all, ED SHEPHERD

What breeds may have been mixed into the American Bully?
Now you may ask why would someone use a Cane Corso in their "American Bully" program or bloodline. The answer is simple....... SIZE. The XXL pitbull or XXL American Bully is not just a pitbull that has been selectively bred to be HUGE. The size in this style of pitbull came about way to fast to have been the result of selective breeding. Also you can see the CORSO in some of these dogs. Others favor Neopolitan Mastiffs which are also Mastiffs of Italian ancestry, but we'll look at that breed later. The Cane Corso can be a very aggressive animal and there are stability issues regarding temperment when Corso blood is mixed with other breeds including the pitbull. This is because the Cane Corso is a tried and true manstopper bred for security and protection.
The following information was borrowed from wikipedia.com:
Apperance
The Cane Corso is a large, lean molosser-type dog. It is well muscled and looks more athletic than most other mastiffs, tending less toward sheer bulk like the English Mastiff and more towards definition like the original Old English Bulldog. The official FCI standard calls for dogs to stand from 60-68 centimeters at the withers (23.6-26.7 inches), with bitches in the lower region and dogs in the higher. Weight should be in keeping with the size and stature of these dogs, ranging from 40-50 kg (88-110lbs). The overall impression should be of power balanced with athleticism.
Its ears are naturally dropped forward, but where legal, many breeders crop them short and close to the head so that the remaining stubs stand upright. Its muzzle is as wide as it is long. Most Corsos have docked tails as well. The standard calls for docking at the 4th vertebra, although many are docked shorter.
Corsos appear in two basic coat colours: black and fawn. This is further modified by genetic pigment dilution to create blue (from black) and formentino (from fawn) colours. Formentino only express the blue colouring on the mask. Brindling of varying intensity is common on both basic coat colours as well, creating tigrato (full brindle), black brindle, and blue brindle. Fawn also has a number of different expressions, ranging from the pale of a formentino to 'red' to the more common beige colour, with the back coat hairs tipped with black. In blue dogs, the nose can appear grey, but should be darker than the coat. In all other dogs, the nose should be black. White markings on the chest, toes and on the chin are seen as well, with smaller white patches being preferable.
Cane Corsos are considered to have an even, stable temperament. They are easy to train, generally good with children, and calm with their primary guardians. They can be reserved, suspicicious and may be aggressive towards people they do not know. Corsos are a quiet breed who frequently suffer from separation anxiety.
Although many breeders claim that these dogs are aggressive, the true Corso should be indifferent when approached and should only react when a real threat is present. However, "the majority of the American version of the Corso do not possess the proper temperament for this breed."
HISTORY
As a recently recovered breed, the Cane Corso's history is shrouded in mystery and differing opinions. It is generally agreed that the Cane Corso is a farm dog which has been used for stock control, property and personal protection and big game hunting throughout its history. Recovered from near extinction through the efforts of enthusiasts in the 1980's, the Corso is now popular globally.
The Corso is likely derived from the same root stock as the Neapolitan Mastiff; the historically documented Roman war dog "Canis Pugnax". The Corso favours agilty and speed, where the Neapolitan is known for power and strength.
NEXT WE WILL EXAMINE THE BREED KNOWN AS THE OLDE ENGLISH BULLDOGGE............
